Track CTAs

Measure whether your prompts actually drive the action they were written for.

Updated 2026-05-29

Define the CTA outcome first

Before you judge a CTA, decide whether it exists to drive another view, an email signup, a product click, or direct revenue. Different goals need different scorecards.

Review CTA performance by context

  • CTA placement in the script
  • Video format and audience intent
  • Result per 1,000 views
  • Revenue or downstream conversion, not just clicks
  • Whether the CTA appeared before or after the viewer received the promised value
  • Whether the topic attracts people who are ready for that action

What ChannelDeck should surface

The useful question is not "did we mention the offer?" It is "which videos create the best offer-taking context?"

Improve one CTA at a time

Change only one major part of the CTA test at a time: placement, wording, offer, visual treatment, or surrounding context. If you change everything at once, you will not know what worked.
